SHIM is a web-based front-end for Hugo. It combines the ease-of-use for dyamic site platforms with Hugo’s raw speed. SHIM is no longer maintained, because I do not use it anymore. However, it is still a perfectly usable piece of software.

I started writing SHIM when Ghost became too fat and slow for my website. I loved how easy it was to use, but it was so damn slow! Because of that, I decided to make my own blogging platform with blackjack and strippers too speed as the top priority.

SHIM is a basic front-end for Hugo. It allows you to upload files, change themes, write posts, and manage multiple sites. SHIM is 100% Libre and Freedom-respecting software, unlike the competition. It’s almost feature-complete, and it’s very fast. It’s based on the fastest static site engine out there, and it runs on Go, a wicked fast language.
